From SKF Group.
A magnetic bearing saves energy, but nobody looks at bearings, and the saving arrives later than the budget has to be found. It is the oldest reason good industrial technology never gets bought.
Revive the 1919 deal SKF already invented, letting customers pay out of the energy savings themselves, and announce it with somebody else from 1919: Greta Garbo, AI-resurrected.
The Stupid/Smart of it
Stupid: A B2B industrial brand spending its spot resurrecting a dead Hollywood legend to sell a component no one has ever looked at.
Smart: A bearing company renting a dead movie star reads as a stunt, until you learn Garbo acted in an SKF-era industry film before she was Garbo, so they are not borrowing a face, they are claiming a former cast member.
Only SKF can bring back both the 1919 payment model and a 1919 star, because both are literally theirs: their own archive answered their own modern objection.
The payment model removes the capex excuse for good, and the Garbo resurrection buys the attention a bearing could never earn on its own.
The face is not rented, it is reclaimed. Garbo was a Swedish ad-film actress before Hollywood, and SKF was in that world, so the celebrity and the brand share a real 1919.
